Renay's Skin

Hey, I'm so happy you're here!

Born and raised in Michigan, I discovered and fell in love with painting while studying fine art at Eastern Michigan University. After earning my BFA I worked in management and instructed art classes all while pursuing my journey as a professional artist. During the pandemic summer of 2020 I was painting more frequently to beat the "stay in place" blues. While in the midst of a portrait painting I was called away by son Jax. Only to return to a dried pallet of carefully mixed skin tones, frustrated that I would need to start again, I thought "why don't they make these colors?" And that is how SKIN acrylic paint was born.

Building SKIN is truly a labor of love, I've created an innovative, high quality product that is representative of all artist and offered at a fair price. This is important to me because oftentimes during college I had to purchase less inferior products because I couldn't afford the more expensive, required supplies. Occasionally, I had to choose paint and canvases over dinner. Reflecting on these moments birthed "No More Starving Artist" which allows SKIN to donate meals to EMU's Swoop food pantry on your behalf. Make a purchase, make a difference!
